Diamond Data and Disclosures
Through our patented Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) diamond growth technology, initially developed through the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C., and later perfected by our team of technologists and PhDs, our diamonds are brilliantly As Grown in the U.S.A., requiring zero post-growth enhancements to alter their color or appearance.
We leave no stone unturned in the third-party diamond certification process, testing for post-growth treatment and diamond quality through the world's leading independent labs, including the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and Gem Certification & Assurance Lab (GCAL). In addition to grading according to the traditional 4C qualities (Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat), the third-party gemological lab’s tests certify that each Latitude diamond is As Grown, untreated and Type IIA (a designation granted to only 1-2% of all earth-mined diamonds).
So, you have the data at your fingerprints, every Latitude laboratory grown diamond includes a third-party grading certificate attesting to these facts, backed by scientific analysis and a team of independent experts.
Taking Our Commitments One Step Further
Above and beyond the 4Cs, we also secure individual, stone-level certification against The 5th C: Climate Neutrality, representing our achievement as the first diamond brand in the world to be third-party certified Climate Neutral and Sustainability Rated, an honor granted by renowned organization SCS Global Services, Inc.
To verify the provenance and sustainability of each Latitude diamond, SCS fastidiously follows the stone along its Chain of Custody journey:
- Each Latitude diamond is grown in our state-of-the-art laboratory
- It is planned, cut and polished by our verified team of artisans
- Then certified and graded by accredited gemological laboratories
- Finally, branded and inscribed with a unique identification number
Marking a new era in traceability, together with the SCS team, we go one step further and leverage third-party forensic analysis. An elemental fingerprint, or diamond DNA, is also captured by an independent testing laboratory. This record, on the atomic level, reflects the makeup of any stone carrying our name.
